Day-by-day: the first week after Rejuran

Day 0 (treatment day)

• Small raised bumps appear where each injection was placed. This "embossing" is expected and means the product is sitting at the intended depth.
• Mild redness, warmth and tenderness are common. Pinpoint bruises can appear, especially around the eyes and cheeks.
• Keep the face clean and avoid make-up for the rest of the day. Do not rub or massage the bumps.
• Skip alcohol, saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths and intense exercise.

Days 1–2

• Most bumps flatten noticeably within 24–48 hours; a few may take a little longer on thinner skin.
• Gentle cleansing and a simple moisturiser are fine. Light make-up is usually possible from the next day.
• Use SPF 50 if you are outdoors, and keep avoiding heat and strong exercise.

Days 3–7

• Any bruises fade over several days and can be covered with make-up.
• You can usually restart retinoids, exfoliating acids and other strong actives after a few days, once the skin no longer feels sensitive. Ask your doctor if unsure.
• Skin often feels more hydrated and looks slightly fresher by the end of the first week.
